Ukraine: 65% of winter crops sown
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of October 14 Ukraine has sown 3,391.1 thousand ha of winter grains — 65.1% of the planned area. Winter rapeseed sowing is almost complete: 1,090.6 thousand ha, or 98.7% of the plan.

Wheat and triticale cover 3,051.5 thousand ha, barley 272.7 thousand ha and rye 66.9 thousand ha. Mykolaiv (402 thousand ha), Dnipropetrovsk (364.8 thousand ha) and Kirovohrad (282.2 thousand ha) regions are sowing fastest. In Mykolaiv region, 315.5 thousand of the 402 thousand ha are wheat and triticale and 85 thousand ha are barley.
